U.S. ROUNDUP — Gold Express makes copper flat plans

Louisiana-based junior Gold Express (NASDAQ) is moving ahead with the financing of the US$50-million Copper Flat mine near Hillsboro, N.M.

Mine construction is scheduled to begin in early 1993, with initial copper production expected in early 1994. With conventional open-pit mining techniques, annual output over the next 10 years is projected to be about 44 million lb. copper, 900,000 lb. molybdenum, 13,000 oz. gold and 300,000 oz. silver.
