The remaining holes from a 38-hole drilling program on the Illinois Creek project in the western interior of Alaska have returned wide intersections of gold-silver mineralization. The drilling program by Vinta Explorations (VSE) is part of an infill and stepout program designed to upgrade and increase previously reported preliminary reserves of 1.7 million tons grading 0.071 oz. gold per ton and 2.05 oz. silver.
The mineralized zone is believed to be either a shear structure or a collapsed breccia. Drilling and trenching on the property have tested about 3,000 ft. of strike length with the zone still open to the northeast and southwest.
Vinta expects to have an updated preliminary reserve completed by early December. Depth Intercept Gold Silver Hole (ft.) (ft.)
