U.S. REPORT New filing rules

Effective Jan 1., unless mining claim documents are accompanied by filing fees, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will refuse to file the documents. The rejected documents will no longer be date stamped by BLM, and the resulting delay could result in the forfeiture of unpatented mining claims, mill sites or tunnel rights, the Bureau says.
