Tyler intersects more copper at Bahuerachi

Reverse-circulation (RC) drilling by Tyler Resources (TYS-V) at the Bahuerachi porphyry-copper prospect in southwestern Chihuahua state, Mexico, has intersected several long zones of copper mineralization.

The RC holes, drilled in December, were an early-stage test of mineralized zones exposed at the surface. Tyler previously reported results from one reverse-circulation hole and one core hole.

The new RC results included a 112.8-metre intersection in hole RC-2 that graded 1.29% copper, 1.07% zinc, 0.12 gram gold and 26.6 grams silver per tonne in hole RC-2, which was advanced on a section near where shallow diamond drill holes had intersected copper mineralization in the spring of 2004.

Three other RC holes cut multiple zones of copper or polymetallic mineralization on sections north of RC-2. Among the better results were a 45.7-metre intersection averaging 0.92% copper and a 64-metre intersection averaging 0.31% copper with 2.4 grams silver per tonne.

One diamond drill hole, 04-BAH-16, intersected 116 metres grading 0.35% copper before being stopped in December. Drilling on the hole resumed in January and Tyler intends to take it to about 200 metres depth.

Tyler has also twinned one of its RC holes, RC-1, with core hole 04-BAH-13. The core hole intersected 23.8 metres grading 0.41% copper, as against a 30.4-metre intersection in RC-1 that graded 0.28% copper. Tyler geologists think that measured grades in twinned RC holes may be consistently lower because fine material is being washed away in the reverse-circulation system.
