Tyler defines resource at Bahuerachi

Tyler Resources (TYS-V) has its first resource estimate for the Bahuerachi copper project in Chihuahua state, Mexico.

Based on just under 25,000 metres of drilling up to mid-July, Calgary-based consulting firm Associated Mining Consultants calculated an indicated resource of 135 million tonnes grading 0.49% copper, with 0.08% zinc, 0.009% molybdenum, 0.05 gram gold and 4.25 grams silver per tonne. In addition, there is an inferred resource of 134 million tonnes at an average 0.36% copper, plus 0.02% zinc, 0.005% molybdenum, 0.03 gram gold and 2.11 grams silver per tonne. The cutoff grade for the estimate was 0.2% copper.

The estimate considered only primary sulphide mineralization hosted in skarn and porphyry rock types. There is a significant amount of oxide mineralization in sediments around the known resource, which has not been estimated yet.

Tyler plans a scoping-level economic assessment for the deposit, and drilling since July offers potential to increase the resource on Bahuerachi.
