Twin Gold finds diamonds in Ungava

Toronto-based Twin Gold (TWG-T) has discovered diamonds in samples from a dyke in the Torngat Mountains, east of Ungava Bay in northwestern Quebec.

Five samples, totalling 212.2 kg, contained 112 diamonds, 13 of which were macrodiamonds (measuring more than 0.5 mm in one dimension).

These results follow the recovery of 26 diamonds, 22 of which were micros, from a grab sample collected from kimberlite rubble at the base of two parallel dykes (Torngat 2 and 3).

There are 12 known dykes in the 331-sq. km land package held by Twin Gold.

Immediately to the northeast, Ayrex Resources (AYR.A-A) has acquired 92.5 sq. km.
