Calgary-based Troymin Resources (ASE) says it will focus its exploration efforts on the Lac de Gras diamond play in the Northwest Territories this year.
Troymin holds a 20% interest in about 96,000 acres within 20 miles of the discovery hole where Dia Met Minerals intersected 81 small diamonds last November. The company says its property is traversed by the southern extension of a “significant” magnetic lineament originating on the Dia Met-BHP claims.
The remaining 80% of the Troymin claims is shared by Almaden Resources (VSE) and Williams Creek Explorations (VSE). In his Gold Mining Stock Report, Robert Bishop placed Almaden near the top of his buy list based on its exposure to the play.
Results of a 200-ton bulk sample taken from the discovery kimberlite pipe are expected to be released by the end of May.
