Troymin begins field operations at La Ronge bets

Field operations are under way on two properties in Saskatchewan’s La Ronge gold belt where Troymin Resources is earning a 50% interest from Saskatchewan Mining and Development Corp., Troymin reports. The two claim blocks total 25,000 acres.

At the Severson Lake block, where a potentially significant new structural zone has been discovered, several grab samples have returned anomalous-to-weakly- mineralized gold values, the company reports. Samples from the southern portion of the north- trending shear zone returned up to 0.036 oz gold per ton while results from additional samples up to 400m further along the zone are awaited. More field work is planned.

Geophysical and structural surveys at the Berven Lake block indicate several anomalies coincidental with surface zones of gold mineralization having gold values in the range of 0.05 oz-0.31 oz. Geological mapping, geochemical surveys, trenching and sampling is in progress; a drilling program will follow.

The two claim blocks are located in the vicinity of the recently opened Star Lake gold mine and Goldsil Resources’ gold discovery at Transom Lake, the company reports.
