The preliminary sampling program, carried out for the company by a Vancouver-based consulting engineering firm, was focused on a shear vein exposed in three underground workings on the property. Although the program was successful in confirming grades, Robert Pincombe, director, said further sampling and ultimately drilling and drifting is necessary to firm up reserves in all categories of 100,600 tons grading 0.571 oz gold and 2.87 oz silver per ton. About half the reserves were classed by a previous operator in the firm and probable categories, and the remainder as possible reserves.
Pincombe said the company is now investigating means of financing the acquisition and developing the property.
