Ottawa-based Trillion Resources (ASE) reports making application for exploration rights in Zimbabwe for diamond, gold and base metal prospects.
Trillion, which has a 50% interest in the Jena gold-mining operation in the African country, says the permits for the diamond prospects cover about 1.1 million hectares and include about 100,000 hectares for gold and base metal prospects.
The exploration territory lies about 100 km northwest of De Beers’ Venetia diamond mine in South Africa and 250 km east of the Orapa diamond mine in Botswana.
