Drill-testing at the Forrest property in Zimbabwe confirms that the gold mineralization exposed on surface persists underground.
Trillion Resources (TSE) made the announcement after testing three of eight soil geochemical anomalies in a 9-hole program.
Gold grades in mineralized drill core samples ranged from 0.56 to 6.7 grams per tonne over core lengths of 1 to 50 metres. Among the best intersections were 16.36 metres of 2.42 grams, 51.84 metres of 0.76 gram, 25.17 metres of 1.47 grams and 35.23 metres of 1.01 grams. All of these included shorter intervals with grades of 3 grams or higher.
Further trenching over a fourth soil anomaly exposed mineralization with an average grade of 1.86 grams gold per tonne over a trench length of 29 metres. A 19-metre interval within the 29 metres had a grade of 2.5 grams per tonne.
Trillion has an option to buy the property for $67,000 and plans to carry out a regional exploration program. The Forrest is part of Trillion’s 641-sq.-km Kadoma East prospecting concession in north-central Zimbabwe.
