Tribute Minerals (TBM-V) has started permitting work for an underground ramp on the Arrow Zone massive-sulphide deposit on its Garnet Lake property in northwestern Ontario.
Environmental and geotechnical work is to start on the project in May, to provide a summary of baseline conditions for a permit application to the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. Approval for underground access would allow Tribute to pull out a bulk sample for metallurgical testing.
The Arrow Zone deposit, in the Confederation Lake belt east of Red Lake, has an indicated resource calculated at 1.2 million tonnes, with 8.12% zinc, 0.81% copper, 0.64 gram gold and 22.9 grams silver per tonne. An inferred resource makes up another 500,000 tonnes grading 4.34% zinc, 0.87% copper, 0.76 gram gold and 22.3 grams silver per tonne.
Further drilling on the Garnet Lake property, and down-hole geophysical surveys, are also scheduled to start in May.
