Tri Origin resumes Australian drilling

Junior Tri Origin Resources (TOE-T) has begun a 10,000-metre drill program on its fully owned Lewis Ponds polymetallic property in New South Wales, Australia.

The program is intended to expand resources at the Toms zone, as a prelude to a feasibility study. Last year, Tri Origin calculated the zone’s resources at 1 million tonnes grading 1.95 grams gold and 214 grams silver per tonne, 7.91% zinc, 5.36% lead, and 0.3% copper. Mineralization, however, remains open at depth and along strike.

Tri Origin is operating one drill and will mobilize two more by the end of November. The company also plans to employ a fourth rig, to test targets near the zone to the south.

The Lewis Ponds property also hosts the Central zone, situated 900 metres north of the Toms zone. Indicated resources for the Central zone stand at 2.73 million tonnes grading 3.6 grams gold and 123 grams silver, plus 4.17% zinc, 2.56% lead and 0.21% lead.
