Toronto-based Tri Origin Exploration (TSE) has intersected a 23-metre interval of massive and disseminated sulphides on its Lewis Ponds project in Australia.
Hole TLPD-6, designed to test the depth potential of the property’s sulphide horizon, hit mineralization grading 3.32% zinc, 1.72% lead, 0.24% copper, 94 grams silver per tonne and 2.9 grams gold between 300 and 323 metres down-the-hole, including a 9-metre section grading 4.11% zinc, 2.22% lead and 5.96 grams gold.
The intersection is 100 metres vertically below a previously reported interval from hole TLPD-4, which returned 20.5 metres grading 4.23% zinc, 2.55% lead and 3.77 grams gold.
Hole TLPD-7, a 150-metre stepout drilled on the north side of a fault, returned no significant results.
Tri Origin will now move its rig to complete two stepouts to the south of hole TLPD-6, says President Robert Valliant. The program is expected to be completed by late January.
