Tri Origin drills to expand Lewis Ponds

A drill program by Tri Origin Exploration (TOE-T) is attempting to expand mineralization at its Lewis Ponds property in New South Wales, Australia.

Resources at the Toms zone of Lewis Ponds stand at 1 million tonnes grading 1.95 grams gold and 214 grams silver per tonne, plus 0.3% copper, 5.36% lead and 7.91% zinc.

Mineralization remains open at depth and along strike. The company has been drilling the zone since November 1996 as a prelude to a feasibility study, and has recently added two more rigs.

A fourth rig has been added at the Lewis Ponds property to explore further mineral occurrences among old, shallow shafts and pits found in the area.

Results from this first phase of drilling are expected by March.

The Lewis Ponds property also hosts the Central zone, which lies 900 metres south of the Toms zone. Resources at the Central zone stand at 2.7 million tonnes grading 3.6 grams gold, 123 grams silver, 0.21% copper, 2.56% lead and 4.17% zinc.
