Treminco extends N.W.T. program

Follow-up drilling is planned for the Greenstone Belt project north of Yellowknife, N.W.T.

Having completed a 12-hole, 6,271-ft. reconnaissance drilling program, Treminco Resources (TSE) has identified four areas as encouraging. Drilling on the Sito Lake “A” Shear No. 1 zone returned a 5.8-ft. interval grading 0.11 oz. gold per ton and a 5.1-ft. interval grading 0.15 oz. gold. Drilling on the Sito Lake “A” Shear, two miles south of the No. 1 zone, confirmed wide zones of favorable shearing and quartz veining. At the Sito Lake-Hook Lake Shear, two holes returned multiple parallel shears in widths up to 110 ft.

Individual intervals from the holes included a 4-ft. section grading 0.48 oz. gold, 1.5 ft. grading 0.039 oz. gold and 4 ft. grading 0.062 oz. gold. Significant values from two holes on the Clan Lake No. 10 Shear include 2 ft. grading 0.25 oz. gold, 2.5 ft. grading 0.16 oz. gold and 4 ft. grading 0.21 oz. gold.

Treminco says the results are encouraging in that the nature of the gold mineralization is similar to that of the Con and Giant gold mines in Yellowknife.
