Toronto CIM plans outing to Timmins

The Toronto branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum has planned a field trip to the Timmins mining area.

The tour, scheduled for June 19-21, will provide mining professionals with the opportunity to view both new and existing mining projects at various stages of development and production.

Sites scheduled to be visited include: Kinross Gold’s Hoyle Pond mine; Placer Dome’s Dome mine; Falconbridge’s Kidd mine; and Echo Bay Mines’ Aquarius project.
