At the Valle Hondo project in Venezuela, Tombstone Explorations (TSO-T) is working to define a new zone of gold mineralization intersected in the Apanao zone.
Previously reported hole 33 returned 48 metres grading 1.03 grams gold and 55.5 metres grading 1.8 grams. The hole was collared 100 metres northeast of Block 1, one of two blocks in the Apanao zone, which is estimated to contain a total resource of 14 million tonnes grading 1.4 grams.
Tombstone has since released results from four additional holes.
Hole 34 tested the zone 50 metres updip of the 55.5-metre interval in hole 33 and intersected 12 metres of 1.05 grams at a depth of 39-51 metres, as well as 16.5 metres grading 0.81 gram between 57 and 73.5 metres.
A further 50 metres downdip of the 48-metre interval in hole 33, hole 41 hit 45 metres of 0.87 gram (including a 12-metre interval grading 2.73 grams).
Holes 42 and 43 stepped out 100 metres on strike to the northeast of hole 33.
Hole 42 intersected 6 metres of 2.13 grams beginning at surface and 34.5 metres of 2.36 grams (including 12 metres grading 6.34 grams) between 132 and 166.5 metres. About 50 metres updip, hole 43 hit 21 metres of 5.45 grams (including 6 metres grading 18.49 grams) at a depth of 114-135 metres.
Results are pending for holes 44 and 45, which were stepouts further updip of hole 43.
Tombstone can acquire the property by meeting certain expenditure and cash payments.
