To analysts: the sky is not falling

The pessimism over the economy that is being preached by star-gazing analysts leaves me on the high side of investor rage.

As the commerce barometer retreats from five years of breaking the sound barrier in terms of growth, especially in the high-tech sector, one would surmise, from listening to most analysts, that the road to hell is clear and that we will be descending forthwith. Simply listening to this off-key choir leaves me with a case of the heebie-jeebies.

When the economy was in overdrive and ascending the summit, the analysts were perched on high, singing Bob Dylan’s “It don’t hurt anymore” in the key of G. Now they are preaching doom and gloom, and, in the process, sending a current of uneasiness throughout the marketplace.

Black overhanging clouds can only be dispensed by a high gust of wind; however, this gang of analysts has none to spare as they used all their hot air promoting the high-tech sector.
