Western Editor Matthew Keevil swings by the Vancouver offices of Almadex Minerals (TSXV: AMZ; US-OTC: AXDDF) to sit down with President and CEO Morgan Poliquin. The company has seen its stock surge over the past six months on exploration success and its El Cobre project 75 km due northwest of the major port city of Veracruz, Mexico.

Poliquin talks about the history behind Almadex’s spin-out from Almaden Minerals (TSX: AMM; NYSE-MKT: AAU), and how the company benefits from twenty-years of geological experience in Mexico. He also discusses the style of porphyry mineralization uncovered at El Cobre, and why there might be even more exciting days ahead. Additional topics include working capital position and upcoming exploration plans.
