TNK plans drilling

A soil-sampling program by TNK Resources (TNKR-C) has identified 28 potential drill targets on two portions of the Gope diamond prospect in Botswana.

De Beers Consolidated Mines (DBRS-Q) holds rights to earn varying interests in the Gope property, which has been divided into three areas. As part of the deal signed in 1998, De Beers’ Canadian subsidiary, Monopros, completed an $800,000 private placement in TNK.

Drilling of priority targets is slated to begin in early 1999.
