Vancouver — Junior
Drilling is focused on a large geophysical anomaly known as Da Lien. The prospect extends for 2 km in an east-west direction and is roughly 600 metres wide. The Central zone, which measures 200 metres wide, carries the highest grades and thickest drill intercepts discovered to date.
Hole 27, drilled recently, cut 134 metres of tungsten mineralization in two separate intervals. This hole was drilled 30 metres west of previously reported hole 5, which returned 79 metres grading 0.44% tungsten trioxide, 0.23% copper, 0.13% bismuth and 12.3% fluorite, plus 0.4 gram gold per tonne.
Hole 27 was drilled to confirm a thick interval of flat-lying tungsten mineralization.
West of the Central zone is a structure that is defined by a geophysical anomaly which measures 500 by 400 metres. This so-called Western zone has seen only limited drilling, including hole 28, which was collared near the centre of the anomaly at the same location as previously reported hole 23, which returned 14 metres grading 0.33% tungsten trioxide, 0.22% copper, 0.11% bismuth and 17.6% fluorite and 0.24 gram gold. Hole 28 was drilled at an angle of minus 60 toward the south and was aimed at a postulated mineralizing fault. However, no fault was intersected.
Four drill rigs are focused on delineating the high-grade mineralization in the Central zone, as well as testing the remaining 500 metres of the anomaly that outlines the Eastern zone.
A prefeasibilty study is expected to be completed by year-end.
Highlights from the most recent drilling are provided in the accompanying table.
