Three Revolutions ‘pure junk’

The commentary titled “Three Revolutions” (T.N.M., Aug. 19-25/05) does not belong in your great newspaper.

Besides a lot of headline-grabbing ideologies, it is full of conspiracy theory misinformation that is coming from someone who obviously believes God created gold before anything else. It is pure junk.

Sure, gold was the currency of choice for many years, I will give the author that, but then we reformed and developed our markets into a paper-based currency system.

Yes, there are imbalances but these will balance over time. To say we need to return to the sanctity of gold or else is like saying humans should revert to apes.
