Third zone possible: Mazarin, Dufresnoy

Two new mineralized zones have been discovered and the potential exists for a third gold showing at the Union Mining-New Bidlamaque gold property at Val d’Or, Que., Mazarin Inc. reports.

Mazarin, which is earning a 50% interest in the property from the operator, Dufresnoy Inc., says 23 holes have been drilled since November of last year, with assays from 15 of the holes now available.

Hole UM 87-14, in the West Auriac zone, intersected 0.27 oz gold per ton over 10 ft, while in the East Auriac zone, hole UM 87-12 cut 0.05 oz over 26 ft.

Mazarin says a third, potential zone has been confirmed by channel-sampling and drilling of a quartz vein at surface over a length of about 65 ft.
