Kennecott Canada Exploration has made another kimberlite discovery on
The new find, dubbed Qamutiik, occurs 9 km northwest of the recently discovered Anuri and Anuri East kimberlites. The land-based Qamutiik was intersected by two diamond drill holes. A second hole, collared from the same site at an angle of 50, intersected 78 metres of kimberlite interspersed with 19 metres of broken granite.
Microdiamond analysis will be performed at Kennecott’s laboratory in Thunder Bay, Ont.
