THE EDITORIAL PAGE CIM conference for underground operators

Elliot Lake, Ont has been chosen as the venue of the eighth CIM Underground Operators Conference to be held Feb 23-25, 1987. As with past conferences, this session is aimed at the mine operator with papers and discussions dealing with issues that arise in the day-to-day operation of mines in North America.

Subjects of interest in the technical sessions include microseismic monitoring, robotics, ground control, fragmentation, men and materials handling, health and safety and others.

Tours are also scheduled for Elliot Lake’s uranium mines as well as Eldorado Resources’ uranium refinery and the CANMET laboratory.
