THE DIAMOND PAGE — Diadem tests California samples

Three white diamond fragments and a broken dodecahedron (12-sided diamond) were recovered from samples taken from drill core testing the Leek Springs diamond project in California. Operator Diadem Resources (DIR-M) says initial analysis of the diamonds indicates they are fragments from a larger stone, possibly broken by the drilling process.

The company notes that the samples represent a small fraction of material from several holes drilled to test circular features on the property.

The bulk of the rock chip and core samples, totalling 90 tons from 52 holes drilled, was shipped to Colorado for processing. The resultant concentrate was then sent to Saskatchewan for caustic dissolution. Results are still awaited.
