THE DIAMOND PAGE — AfriOre anticipates drilling in spring

Springtime drilling is planned for AfriOre’s (AFO-V) two diamond prospects in Botswana.

At Kokong West, where AfriOre recently discovered a new kimberlite called KW2, four deep holes will be drilled in an attempt to test unweathered portions of the pipe. AfriOre has a 53% interest in Kokong, with the remainder held by South Africa-based Gencor.

At the Gope joint venture, partner BHP is interpreting results from an airborne electromagnetic survey. Several targets will be drilled beginning in mid-April.

Meanwhile in South Africa, AfriOre is awaiting sample results from both the wholly owned Tugela Ti-Sands heavy mineral project and the Kareevlei Wes-Skietfontein diamond project, where Australian partner Ashton Mining has just completed a 1,200-tonne bulk sample.
