Partners Getchell Resources (VSE) and Teck (TSE) are reviewing this year’s results from exploration of the Rainbow property near Kamloops, B.C., to determine the extent of the next phase of work.
Teck, which holds a 70% interest, recently completed a second-phase, 14-hole, 3,600-metre program.
The drilling has tested a zone of copper-gold mineralization more than 650 metres in strike length, encountering the zone at depths of up to 200 metres.
The mineralization appears to be related to a breccia zone within an extensive, hydrothermal system.
Previous operators used a different exploration model, and Getchell believes the mineralized zone may extend beyond the area of current drilling.
Results from Teck’s second phase of drilling are as follows: HoleInterval(m)Width(m)Copper(%)Gold(g/t)
