High grade gold and silver values have been drilled by partners Taywin Resources (VSE) and BP Minerals on the Electrum property in B.C. Located on Vancouver Island, the property hosts narrow high-grading veins which were drill tested.
Some of the better results include 3.3 ft grading 2.8 oz gold and 151.9 oz silver per ton, 3 ft assaying 7.56 oz gold and 185 oz silver and 2.8 ft grading 3.38 oz gold and 354 oz silver.
Additional values include 4.9 ft grading 1.97 oz gold and 120 oz silver and 10.2 ft assaying 1.46 oz gold and 62.7 oz silver. Another six sections also assayed over one oz gold with rich silver grades.
Taywin notes that the drilling failed to penetrate the overburden which covers deeper sections of the vein. As a result, several previously drilled high grade sections could not be confirmed or extended. BP and Taywin hold a 40% and 60% interest in the property respectively.
