Tarzan completes diamond drilling

Tarzan Gold Inc. (ASE) has recently completed diamond drilling of hole 88-1 on the Main East Zone downward extension of the Joburke mine to a depth of 372.4 m to intersect the ore zone extensions at a depth of 200 m below surface.

Various quartz vein and disseminated sulphide zones were intersected as well as a 13-m carbonate zone hosting numerous quartz veins which represent the orebody extension.

A second hole has been started to test the downward extension of the Main West zone 150 m west of hole 1 which may involve over 400 m of drilling, the company said.

A second diamond drill has been mobilized to the property to start definition drilling on the 6-7 vein extension.

Trenching on the property has exposed a green carbonate zone on line 4600 E which reflects a major fault structure that crosses the property and represents a new target horizon previously unexplored, the company said.
