Tan Range returns promising grades

Drilling at the Kabahelele project in Tanzania has returned respectable gold values for Tan Range Exploration (TNX-A).

Hole IDD-1, collared along an east-west-trending structure, returned 3.2 grams gold per tonne over 5.45 metres. Hole IDD-2, drilled 81 metres along strike from the first hole, returned 2.3 grams over 2.2 metres. Both holes tested a mineralized zone lying 80 metres below surface workings.

Surface sampling and drilling indicate the mineralized structure continues at depth and is open along strike.

The gold zone is part of a 50-km structure that hosts two former producers, as well as several small-scale mining operations. Tan Range controls 17 km of the structure and is now drilling an area of artisanal activity 3,500 metres west of the two recent holes.

Additional drilling will test continuity between the two holes and attempt to extend the strike length of the new zone.
