Tan Range intersects gold in Tanzania

Alberta-listed Tan Range Exploration has intersected significant gold values at its Kabahelele concession in Tanzania.

The announcement follows a 7-hole reverse-circulation drill program in which economic concentrations of the yellow metal were outlined over a strike length of 150 metres.

To date, four of the holes have returned up to 13.6 grams per tonne. Results are as follows: 13.6 grams over 1 metre; 1.76 grams over 23 metres (including 5.85 grams over 4 metres); 1.26 grams over 3 metres; and 2.36 grams over 11 metres (including 3.22 grams over 5 metres).

The concession lies west of the Buckreef gold deposit and hosts the same gold-bearing structure found at the mine.

Mineralization is open at depth and along strike, and the distribution of pits worked by small-scale miners suggests the zone may extend to a length of 400 metres.
