Talisman Mines says that a strong intersection completed by Placer Dome Inc on a gold property is not as encouraging as was initially believed. The 20-m section which graded 6.7 g gold per tonne (0.195 oz gold per ton), came from a hole drilled down-dip on a mineralized zone.
The drilling was completed on a property in Newton Twp., located south of Timmins, Ont., in the Swayze area.
