SW Gold, Cons Jaba look to Argentina

Junior Consolidated Jaba (JBA-V) has acquired the mineral exploration rights to explore for platinum group metals (PGMs) on 1,918 sq. km in the Argentine province of Chubut.

Southwestern Gold (SWG-T) initially earned a 45% interest in the property by advancing Jaba US$210,000 for acquisition and related costs. By making a series of staged exploration expenditures totalling US$3 million over a 3-year period, Southwestern can earn up to a 71% interest in the land package.

The property is underlain by an unexplored layered ultramafic complex, reports Jaba. Reconnaissance sampling has yielded PGM values.
