Capital Gold sees Sinergia in Mexico

Sinergia Obras Civiles y Mineras (Sinergia) will serve as the contract miner for Capital Gold‘s (CGLD-O) El Chanate gold project in northern Sonora state, Mexico.

Sinergia will use its own equipment at El Chanate, and conduct all the mining work — other than crushing — for the life of the mine.

Capital Gold is wrapping up its financing, including a $12-million project loan from Standard Bank. Once financing is complete, the company will launch construction.

Capital Gold hopes to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in the near future.

The recent spike in the price of gold to more than US$500 per oz. has increased the value of El Chanate. The most recent feasibility study used a gold price of US$375 per oz.

Sander turns 50

Sander Geophysics (SGL) is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The company was founded in 1956 by George Sander and has grown to be the world’s largest independently owned airborne survey company.

Based in Ottawa, SGL flies airborne geophysical surveys for petroleum and mineral exploration companies and governments.

Specializing in airborne gravity, magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic surveys, Sander owns and operates a fleet of 10 airplanes and helicopters. It offers gravity surveying with AIRGRav, an airborne gravimeter designed and built in-house.
