Noranda, Que.-based Stewart Mining Products has become a partner in Evain, Que.-based Jacques Gelinas which will soon change its name to Gelinas-Stewart Inc. The two companies have joined forces to invest in the construction of a plate shop. The addition to the existing shop will essentially be used by mining exploration and construction industries. Products to be manufactured include: chutes, ventilation doors, structural steel and sloops.
