Toronto-based consulting firm Hatch has bought the engineering arm of Broken Hill Proprietary for an undisclosed sum.
BHP shed the unit and its 900 employees in order to focus on mining operations. BHP Engineering has offices throughout Australia, and in the Philippines, Chile, China and India.
