SUPPLIERS NEWS ROUNDUP — Dynatec inks Mexican deal

Dynatec will let a Mexican mining company use its zinc leach recovery technique.

Industrial Minera Mexico, which operates zinc mines throughout the country, is the latest firm in Latin America to sign an agreement with the Toronto-based metallurgical firm for the technology.

The process, which produces byproduct elemental sulphur rather than sulphur dioxide, can be used to treat zinc concentrate that may not be amenable to traditional recovery processes.

Under the agreement, Dynatech will supply technical assistance to the Mexican firm for 10 years.
