SUPPLIERS NEWS ROUNDUP — Degussa opens cyanide supply facility

Degussa Canada has opened a sodium cyanide supply terminal in Cadillac, Que.

The enclosed terminal, which will supply mining operations in Ontario and Quebec, was built on a rail line and includes lab facilities to convert the sodium cyanide from solid powder to liquid for storage.

The terminal will also act as a base for technicians trained in cyanide chemistry, spill management and detoxification.
