SUPPLIERS NEWS ROUNDUP — Atlas Copco acquires JKS Boyles

JKS Boyles International, a manufacturer of underground and surface diamond drill equipment, has been acquired by Stockholm-based Atlas Copco.

JKS Boyles now belongs to the Atlas Copco Craelius stable of companies, which specialize in core drilling, ground engineering and waterwell drilling equipment. The deal is consistent with Atlas Copco’s stated goal of expanding into the mineral exploration market.

JKS Boyles, which has 79 employees and annual sales of about $22 million, will remain based in North Bay, Ont.
