Diamond drilling is scheduled to get started before the end of January on the 9,300-acre Beaverdam gold property of Sunrise Metals Corp. in Nova Scotia, according to President Anthony Rich. This lies a mile south of the Beaverdam deposit of Seabright Resources.
Several excellent drill targets have been delineated, characterized by strong gold-arsenic values, in a geologic setting similar to Seabright’s Beaverdam deposit which is now coming into full production.
Sunrise carried out extensive surface work leading up to the drilling decision, geologist Rich points out. This included geochemical sampling on a 100-m grid with 25-m sampling intervals. Some 4,200 samples were taken in this way, with the program covering about half of the large property.
