Sunridge cuts high-grade copper at Debarwa

Vancouver — Drilling by Sunridge Gold (SGC-V) has intersected high-grade copper at the Asmara volcanogenic massive-sulphide project in the northeast African state of Eritrea.

Highlights are as follows:

— Hole 13 was drilled in the Debarwa South zone, about 1 km south of the Main zone, and returned 8.62% copper, 1.93 grams gold and 36.2 grams silver per tonne over 2 metres. The hole had to be abandoned prematurely at a depth of 52 metres after hitting excessive water.

— Hole 8 intersected 25 metres averaging 10.51% copper, 2.08 grams gold and 54.41 grams silver. This hole tested the northern extension of the Debarwa Main zone.

— Holes 5 and 1 returned 13.5% copper over 21 metres and 11.22% copper over 8 metres, respectively.

Three rigs are now turning on the property, with 30,000 metres targeted for this year. So far, 3,300 metres have been completed, and results from seven holes are pending.

Sunridge can earn a 90% interest in the project, which, at present, is jointly held by Africa Wide Resources and Perth-based Sub-Sahara Resources.

Further down-dip drilling is required to determine the full extent of many of the zones.
