Vancouver —
Overall, the property has a measured and indicated resource equivalent to 381,000 oz., plus 386,000 oz. in the inferred category.
At the Gold Mountain zone, which is hosted by intrusive and volcanic rocks, 6,269 drill core sections have been assayed for gold.
At a cutoff grade of 0.5 gram gold per tonne, the zone was found to contain a measured and indicated resource of 5.5 million tonnes grading 1.04 grams gold (184,000 contained oz.) and an inferred resource of 10.7 million tonnes grading 0.967 gram gold (333,000 contained oz.).
The mineralization at Kena consists of high-grade narrow veins and structures superimposed on lower-grade disseminated mineralization in the intrusives.
The Kena zone has a measured and indicated resource of 6.33 million tonnes grading 0.969 gram gold per tonne (197,000 contained oz.) and an inferred resource of 1.4 million tonnes at 1.216 grams gold (56,000 contained oz. gold).
Sultan intends to expand the resource through additional drilling, providing it can raise the necessary funds. No drilling has tested the area between the Kena and Gold Mountain zones, which lie about 400 metres apart along the same structural feature. Other targets include the South Gold zone, where a third porphyry gold mineralized structure, similar to Kena and Gold Mountain, was discovered.
