Additional encouraging drill results have been received by Power Explorations from the company’s Dryden gold project held in joint venture with Van Horne Gold Exploration. The property is located five miles south of Dryden, Ont. Power has completed 19 holes which tested a large section of the Kidd zone for 550 ft east and west of an old shaft, and to a depth of 250 ft.
The highest grading values came from holes 12 and 13 which were spotted on the same section 165 ft east of the shaft. Hole 12 cut 7.9 ft grading 0.33 oz gold per ton whereas hole 13 intersected 43 ft grading 0.23 oz. Included in the latter section was a higher grading section which assayed 0.4 oz across 22 ft. Previous drilling on the Kidd structure cut a 24.8-ft section which assayed 0.26 oz. This hole was drilled underneath the 90-ft shaft.
Based on sampling and mapping, Power says the zone strikes for more than half a mile.
