Strike charged

Strike Minerals (COATS) has been charged in connection with three offences under the public lands amendment act. According to Strike, the company was charged with “placing a structure on public lands without a permit” when it filled in washed-out culverts with sand. Improvements to an existing bridge brought the two charges of “filling of shore lands without a permit.”

If convicted, Strike will pay a fine of up to $5,000 per offence and be responsible for the costs of repairing any damage to the public lands.
