Strike acquires Ontario claims

Strike Minerals (CDN) has purchased one dozen 16-claim units covering 7,680 acres in Amyot, Browning, Ogilvie and Sheard twps., 10 miles southwest of Shining Tree, Ont.

Strike says it acquired the ground on three sides of a property where four surface showings have returned anomalous values of copper, lead and zinc. The showings occur within felsic volcanics along an isolated greenstone belt that has never been worked before.

Sources say the showings occur on property held by Asquith Resources (CDN). Asquith President Jack Tindale was on holiday and could not be reached for comment.

Nansivik Mines, a unit of Conwest Exploration (TSE), holds 51.6% of Asquith.
