St. Jude tests Woco gold vein

Drilling by St. Jude Resources (VSE) on its Earngy Twp. property, 42 miles northeast of Red Lake, Ont., has returned encouraging gold values from the Woco vein.

The vein is 1.5 miles south of the old Uchi mine from which limited ore was produced in the late 1930s.

Four holes have been completed. The most noteworthy intersection occurred in hole 93-JR-4 where a 2.9-ft. section averaged 6.71 oz. gold per ton. Previous work indicated the vein was only weakly mineralized at shallow depths. The company plans to test the vein further with deeper holes.
