St Andrew encouraged by Taylor drilling

Drill results from the Taylor gold property near Timmins, Ont., are keeping St Andrew Goldfields (SAS-T) in a hopeful frame of mind.

The latest results are from five holes drilled in the West Porphyry structure. Each intersected two or more zones of mineralization, with several of these intervals containing visible gold. Two of the holes were collared near historical holes, while one was collared west of the known limits of mineralization.

Results varied from a low of 2.1 grams gold per tonne over 10.5 metres to a high of 68.9 grams gold over 1.5 metres. The widest intersection was 12.6 metres of 25.5 grams gold, while the narrowest was 1.4 metres of 2.8 grams gold. Assays are still pending from the step-out hole.

Over the past year, St Andrew has completed a 27,432-metre, 48-hole program on and around the West Porphyry zone. The junior has four drills on site and hopes to begin a reserve calculation by year-end.
