SOUTHEAST ASIA SPECIAL — Pacific Amber tests Tujang property

An exploration program by Pacific Amber Resources (VSE) has identified three prospective zones on the Tujang property in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The junior has a 90% interest in the 25,000-hectare property, in joint venture with partner Gothic Resources (VSE).

Work to date has focused on an area near a dome-like structure believed related to the Sintang intrusion. Pacific Amber reports that at least three, broad, north-northeast-trending hydrothermal alteration zones exist along the axis of the dome.

The zones are accompanied by anomalous base-metal values and associated with gold mineralization. The gold potential is evidenced by local alluvial and eluvial workings, as well as in situ quartz stringer-hosted mineralization associated with the alteration zones. Results from the soil sampling are expected shortly.
